All retrogrades bring a “reconsideration” or other words that start with the prefix “re” in the matters of the sign and house the planet is transiting through. Retrogrades bring a focus inward and to the past as it relates to the present and future. It is a time when going back over things is a prominent theme. I always think of the Earthworm card from the Ted Andrew’s Animal Wise Tarot Card Deck when it is retrograde time. He talks about how the earthworm goes back over dirt making it fine and fertile soil. It is this going back over things that sets one up for fertile future experiences in the area of life being re-examined.
The retrograde transits bring planetary “opportunities” to strengthen weak links and set up stronger points of attraction for more enriching experiences. Often these “opportunities” come through some form of crisis, as they are often neglected for a long time and in a big way so Spirit needs to bring awareness in a way that sticks.
It is very important to note that although reexamination of major issues is common and indicated at this time, actually MAKING LIFE-CHANGING DECISIONS is not. More information will come throughout the transit so to take one moments insight and take action on it would likely be premature, as the retrograde promises we aren’t necessarily seeing clearly or all angles of an issue, especially on topics of love, beauty, and money.
Assessing, researching, working in the backdrop, experimenting without long commitment for things with low stakes, and in general “staying the course” during the revaluation is usually what is best indicated.

Venus retrograde in Gemini/3rd House
Venus Retrograde in Cancer/4th House
Venus Retrograde through Leo/5th House
Venus Retrograde through Virgo/6th House:
Virgo/the 6th house rules pets, health, medicine/medical diagnostics, procedures, treatments, daily work environment, self-employment, how one does their work/gets things done, routine, diet, supplements, exercise, etc.
Venus going backwards in this area of life can bring questions about the workplace or self-employment methods. Great opportunities will often come during this time from the past somehow, like past connections, ideas, or efforts. It may be easier to find business and solutions when getting back to basics and tried-and-true principles than new development or ideas.
Things involving a situation with a pet may surface from the past. For people who are in businesses involving animals, or who want to me, this could bring up financial opportunities that relate to making money this way. I remember many moons ago I started a pet-sitting business around a Venus retrograde time. It was an idea from the past that came back to me during the retrograde. True to “launches” during the retrogrades, the business was short-lived, but it was perfect for me and the animals and their people that I helped at the time so it’s all good :) Since I didn't have to invest money in starting the business, there was no 'loss' when the business trailed off into other pursuits. It is not advisable to launch a new business that involves financial or other major investment, or one with the intention of being long term, at this time.
Short-term ventures can be fine to implement during the retrograde, as long as a lot of money or resources or risk is not involved.
Money owed to you from past work could come in at this time. Bonuses from work for past performance could also show up. Recognition, raises, or clients from past work could show up but when it comes to asking for a raise, you may have more luck when Venus is in its full power. Feel into your specific situation and assess if this general recommendation is true for your case.
Issues or dissatisfaction with how you make money, income level, workplace dynamics are very likely to come up or escalate if this has been a theme that was already present or swept under the rug of daily consciousness.
It may not be advisable to quit a job under this transit because your emotions could get the better of you and may not factor in long-term consequences. It is definitely a great time to start researching your escape plan/plan B :) Again, ideas and connections from the past could prove helpful in your investigation of a better situation. Starting a new job if you are in need of one could also be well-supported just note that it may be a bridge to another position and/or may be shorter term than expected. Temporary or contract work during this time is very well-supported.
Sometimes love from the past that was related to work could resurface at this time. Also, sometimes the return of a love interest could come from something else you do every day - grocery store, run, yoga, neighbor, etc.
Nagging health symptoms could get stronger during this transit or an event with someone close to you could spark some motivation to get them checked out. Learning about the options you are already paying for you with current insurance or work-related benefits may bring some surprises. There are often more things on a health plan than people utilize. Do your homework.
Some questions you can proactively address during or that may naturally come up during Venus retrograde through Virgo/the 6th house:
Do I love my job? if not what can I do to have a better work experience in the future? What are some ideas for “plan B”?
How can I leverage past accomplishments and connections to boost my current business/income/improve my work life?
Do I have nagging health symptoms that are begging for attention? How can use resources available to me to investigate these?
Do I need a new health, exercise, diet regimen? What support options are there for me?
Does my pet need some attention?
Summary/Resources for Venus retrograde in Virgo/6th House:
~ Learn about insurance options and additional/complementary benefits and use your benefits to get nagging health symptoms checked out and do proactive health checks. Even if you don’t have coverage, look for other options to assist you in looking into health issues or to be proactive. For instance, the United Breast Cancer Foundation gives grants for breast thermography, which can see potential danger spots coming years before they actually turn into cancer - Check out their grant options here: http://ubcf.org
There is also full body thermography available for proactive health screening or as part of investigating spots of concern.
Routine exams such as mammograms are often covered under insurance with no copay.
~ Look for motivation and information to help improve exercise, diet, lifestyle routine
~ Proactively and productively deal with workplace/self-employment issues - look to the past for new opportunities
