Before I started studying astrology, I had a rich experience in the mainstream medical world as well as the alternative healing realms.
This started out when I was a teenager and started a job as a cashier at a pharmacy. I had no idea when I started in that position that it would set the course of my life and work in such a major way.
At the time I was almost finished with college and was planning to attend law school.
As I watched the pharmacist counsel patients on their prescription, as well as over-the-counter medicines and general health questions and consulting, a passion to help people this way awakened in me.
In between customers I started reading the pharmaceutical PI’s, aka Prescribing Information, the small folded paper that used to come on the bottom of prescription medication bottles. You may remember them - they were folded into tiny squares but when you opened them up they became this giant sheet of paper with very tiny print going into how the drug worked on the body (the mechanism of action), the indications/usage, the contraindications, and warnings.
Most people are daunted by this type of detailed scientific information but I became instantly fascinated. Even though I was almost done with college, this passion that was awoken in me caused me to change my major to pre-pharmacy with intention to go to pharmacy school.
At the end of my coursework I decided to not go to pharmacy school (for certain family reasons that were occurring at that time) but I did go on to become a Pharmaceutical Rep where I educated doctors and patients on how the drugs my company made worked and how to best use them.
At some point in my journey I opened up to alternative medicine as my main focus, using mainstream medicine to support that focus.
I became a Reiki Master, Massage Therapist (also certified in additional modalities like BodyTalk and Reflexology), studied deeply through formal and informal means Nutrition/Diet, Herbalism, Naturopathy and Holistic Approaches to health.
Herbs, supplements, lifestyle practices, energy work, and emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual health became an obsession 20 years ago. It was after I set down this path that Astrology came to me and in the beginning I used it in the backdrop of my coaching work to help direct me to patterns and other information to help my clients.
At some point, Spirit brought Astrology into the forefront but for the thousands of personal readings I did over the years that it was my main work, I also included health and wellness tips in readings based on the individuals chart. I also started training others on becoming Wellness and other types of Coaches and Astrologers. So now at this point of my offering my new Vibrant Wellness Coaching, I have 20 years of experience in helping individuals through personal sessions, professional training programs, and public videos based in astrology but always including health and wellness tips.
